Bentley Continental GTC, Metallic Red

The third-generation Continental GTC is Bentley's case for the grand tourer that asks nothing of its driver but the next horizon. Under that long, power-domed bonnet sits the 6.0-litre twin-turbo W12, enough to move two people and their weekend across a continent in a single, unhurried sweep. The detailing here is pure modern Crewe: the matrix grille, the oval quad lamps with their cut-crystal effect, the haunch that swells over the rear wheel in homage to the original R-Type. With the fabric roof folded away it becomes a different car altogether, the twin-cowl cabin in pale leather opening to the sky. This is a car bought by people who could have anything and chose restraint with a 200mph reserve.

The model captures the depth of the metallic red lacquer beautifully, the colour darkening into the panel curves and flashing where the light catches the shoulder line, set against gloss-black wheels and a cream interior rendered seat-by-seat.
