Audi built the S1 Hoonitron for one man and one purpose: to let Ken Block throw an electric car sideways through Las Vegas for Elektrikhana. It borrows its shape from the legendary Sport quattro S1 that terrorised Pikes Peak in the 1980s, then swaps the turbo five-cylinder for twin electric motors and a body cut almost entirely from carbon. The squared-off arches, the towering rear wing and the slab of a diffuser seen here were drawn for gymkhana abuse, not lap times, and the absence of an exhaust note made its tyre-shredding antics feel that much more uncanny.
Finished in the full Hoonigan competition wrap, this one carries the Monster Energy green, the #43 roundels, the Ken Block windscreen banner and Audi's "#Future Is An Attitude" line over a grey, red and black base, down to the white Rotiform wheels and Toyo Proxes lettering. The decal work is dense and crisply registered across a busy bodyshell, which is the hard part to get right at this size. It is built at 1:18 and sits on a carbon-pattern display base.
