Audi RS 6 Avant, Tango Red

The RS6 Avant has always been Audi's quiet provocation: a five-door estate built to swallow a family's luggage while carrying the running gear of a supercar. This C8 generation, launched in 2019, draws its widened arches and aggressive front mask from the R8 rather than the standard A6, and hides a twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 good for around 600 horsepower beneath that long bonnet. The German plates here read the part, and the whole car makes its case without shouting: a load-lugger that will out-accelerate most of the sports cars it shares the autobahn with. It makes a strong case for owning one fast car instead of two.

MotorHelix captures the C8's surface tension well, the deep Tango Red catching highlights along the shoulder line while the gloss-black grille, mirror caps and five-twin-spoke wheels with red calipers stay properly menacing.
