Every Vanquish Zagato was built with hand-crafted carbon-fibre panels, and each car took about 2,000 man-hours at Aston Martin's works in Gaydon, Warwickshire. The Shooting Brake, built in a run of 99, carries that work furthest: its Zagato double-bubble roof is stretched rearward with glass inlays to a powered tailgate. Inside, the dashboard is trimmed in herringbone-pattern carbon fibre with anodised bronze rotary controls. At the launch in August 2017, Aston Martin's chief creative officer Marek Reichman said, "We're creating collectibles, future concours cars," and added that some clients had ordered one of each of the four body styles: Coupé, Volante, Speedster and Shooting Brake.

Here the paint is Volcano Red, a bright metallic red with real depth over the rear haunches. The roof and the rear diffuser are bare carbon. The wheels are black with bronze spoke faces, matching a bronze strake on each front wing behind the arch, and the cabin is pale. Round tail lamps with red spiral detail sit at the ends of the tapering tail, over two pairs of exhausts and an ASTON MARTIN plate. The car stands on a black suede base with white stitching. H&H builds it at 1:18.
