Aston Martin and Zagato first worked together on the DB4 GT Zagato of 1960, and the Vanquish Zagato family brought the partnership to four bodies: Coupé, Volante, Speedster and Shooting Brake, 325 cars in all. Aston Martin revealed the Shooting Brake in full on 24 October 2017. There were 99, and all had been sold by the time of the Frankfurt show. It stays a two-seater despite the estate shape. The extended roof carries Zagato's double bubble, a form that goes back to Zagato's racing cars of the 1950s, with glass inlays to let in light, and the body panels are carbon fibre. A powered tailgate opens onto a trimmed rear area with fitted luggage, and the naturally aspirated V12 gives 592 bhp through an eight-speed Touchtronic III gearbox.

This one is in Liquid Silver with the long roof in black carbon, running back to a small spoiler over the tailgate. Black multi-spoke wheels fill the arches, a dark strake sits behind each front wheel, and the wide mesh grille has round lamps in its lower corners. At the rear, the Vulcan-inspired tail lamps glow red in their sculpted housings above a carbon diffuser, four tailpipes and an ASTON MARTIN plate. The car stands on a dark suede base with white stitching and a plaque at the front. H&H builds it at 1:18.
