Aston Martin DB12, Ion Blue

The DB12's engine is a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 from the M177 family, reworked with larger turbochargers, revised compression and better cooling. Aston Martin quoted 680 PS (671 bhp) at 6,000 rpm and 800 Nm from 2,750 to 6,000 rpm. It drives the rear wheels through an eight-speed ZF automatic and an electronic rear differential, with new suspension on adaptive dampers and Michelin Pilot Sport 5S tyres made to Aston's own specification. The coupé reaches 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds and has a top speed of 325 km/h. The V12 offered in the DB11 was not carried over.

Ion Blue is a vivid metallic blue, carried here over the roof as well as the body. Gold calipers sit behind the two-tone multi-spoke wheels, and through the side glass the cabin shows orange-tan trim. ASTON MARTIN script sits in each side vent, silver bars fill the wide grille, and the tail carries the full-width light bar, ASTON MARTIN lettering and a DB12 plate above the black diffuser.
