The Gran Premio di Monza of 11 September 1932 was run as a tournament: three heats of ten laps, a repechage, and a final for the fastest. Rudolf Caracciola, in his one season with Alfa Romeo, won the first heat in 33 minutes 24.2 seconds for the 100 km, and then ran close to Tazio Nuvolari, his own team-mate, in the final until Nuvolari was forced into a late stop for fuel and lost time in the pits. Caracciola went on to win, adding Monza to the German Grand Prix he had taken in July, both at the wheel of Vittorio Jano's Tipo B.

CMC presents it as it left the line: deep Alfa red, the white #6 on each side of the cowl, the badge on the nose above a bright mesh grille. The louvred bonnet opens on both sides on spring fasteners, revealing the straight-eight with its two Roots superchargers, red ignition leads and plumbing; the cockpit has a leather seat and a wood-rimmed, four-spoke wheel before a full dashboard. The wire wheels detach by their central locking nuts, the stainless ladder frame runs the length of the car, and the floor pan unscrews. A limited edition of 1,000. CMC builds it at 1:18, from 1,805 parts, over 85 per cent of them metal.
