Solido commissioned it for its 90th anniversary: Khyzyl Saleem, a designer and concept artist known for his digital reworkings of classic sports cars, drew it, and the Porsche specialist Flat56 built it on a 911 SC found in poor condition in a barn. It was unveiled on 23 August 2022. Its starting point is the impact-bumper 911, the shape Porsche built from 1974 to 1989. Saleem kept the parts everyone recognises, the round headlamps, the upright windscreen and the sloping roof, and changed nearly everything around them. The arches are flared far beyond any factory Turbo, a deep front bumper carries a full-width grille, a long flat wing sits on the engine lid and a red light bar spans the tail. Most striking of all, the rear bumper is gone, leaving the twin turbochargers and their pipework hanging in plain view.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn metallic silver the shape reads at its clearest, with no stripes or decals to break up the surfaces. The carbon panels ahead of the rear wheels, the red louvred screen over the rear window and the PORSCHE lettering in the light bar all stand out against the paint. Black mesh-pattern wheels fill the arches, red calipers showing through the spokes, and under the tail the two turbochargers sit either side of the engine with green air filters and polished exhaust outlets. The car stands on a white leather base with red stitching, and its plaque, carrying the Runner logo, reads Limited Edition, one of 30.
