mercedes-benz-g63-selenite-grey-metallic-1-18
Mercedes-Benz G63, Selenite Grey Metallic

The G-Class began as a military vehicle. Development started in 1972 as a joint project between Daimler-Benz and Steyr-Daimler-Puch in Graz, Austria, after a suggestion from the Shah of Iran, and the civilian G Model went on sale in 1979. The Argentine Army became its first military user in 1981, and the car is still assembled in Graz, now by Magna Steyr. It remains one of the few passenger vehicles with three fully locking differentials. The second generation was shown at Geneva in March 2018, and its AMG G 63 used a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 of 577 hp, with side pipes on the exhaust. The W465 of 2024 kept that V8 and added a 48-volt hybrid system.

This G 63 is finished in Selenite Grey Metallic, a mid grey with a fine flake, over black cross-spoke wheels and red brake calipers. The grille has vertical slats around the large star, AMG plates sit in the front bumper and on the tail, and a V8 Biturbo badge rides on each front wing. Twin side pipes exit just ahead of the rear wheels, below a running board with a chrome strip. The exposed door hinges, chrome side mouldings and the full-size spare wheel under a silver cover with the three-pointed star are all reproduced. The car stands on a black carbon-pattern base with an AMG plaque. It is built at 1:18.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0821/8519/1637/files/TAH-12781-02_2bdc4686-25b2-4f5e-88ad-f7ec2f4a4480.jpg?v=1791401276
