At the end of 2011 Ferrari announced an Evolution package for the 2012 and 2013 seasons. The V12 gained power and the car lost 35 kg, but the real work was aerodynamic: a rear wing with two flaps moved electronically, as on a Formula 1 car, to shift downforce between the axles according to speed, steering angle and acceleration. A modified splitter, a larger diffuser and new fences completed the package, giving 330 kg of downforce at 200 km\/h with the flaps open and 440 kg with them closed.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis model wears a tribute livery in the style of Ferrari's Formula 1 cars of the Marlboro years: bright red with a black roof, the white Marlboro chevron on the doors and down the bonnet, and Shell, Magneti Marelli, Fiat, Telecom Italia, Asprey, Brembo and SKF logos, with the number 3 on the nose and an American flag on the wing end plate. The Marlboro graphics are a livery only and imply no link with the brand. Gunmetal multi-spoke wheels wear Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres. It sits on a white leather base stitched in red, under a mirrored plaque that lists the car's figures and gives the edition as 26 pieces.
