The design drew on the 488 GTE and the 488 Challenge, the rear diffuser is shared with the GTE, and the engine took titanium connecting rods, strengthened pistons and Inconel exhaust manifolds from the Challenge car. The 3.9-litre twin-turbo V8 was rated at 720 PS at 8,000 rpm, up from 670 PS in the 488 GTB, and carbon fibre for the bonnet, bumpers and rear spoiler helped make the Pista 91 kg lighter. Ferrari claimed 20 per cent more downforce than the GTB, 0 to 100 km\/h in 2.85 seconds and a top speed of 340 km\/h.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBBR finishes this one in a deep metallic red. At the front the ducts in the bumper feed the large vent in the bonnet, with carbon splitter blades below them; the side view shows the black multi-spoke wheels, the carbon sills and the raised rear spoiler, and at the back the carbon diffuser frames the twin exhausts and the 488 Pista script. It rests on a red leather base, with a black plaque at the front that names the car and reads Edizione Limitata.
