Pininfarina drew it and Carrozzeria Scaglietti in Modena built the bodies, in steel with aluminium doors, bonnet and boot lid. Beneath them was a tubular chassis adapted from the 250 GTO with narrower tubes, on the same 2,400 mm wheelbase as the 250 GT Berlinetta, and a 2,953 cc Colombo V12 of 240 hp at 7,500 rpm. With the engine set well forward, the two-seat cabin had more room than a Ferrari usually allowed, with a quilted leather parcel shelf behind the seats. Production ran until August 1964 and reached 351 cars. Steve McQueen owned one and sold it in 1967.

BBR finishes this one in a pale primrose yellow. The eggcrate grille sits low between the round headlamps, with small chrome bumperettes at each corner and a slim scoop on the bonnet. Chrome wire wheels carry treaded tyres, and thin chrome frames edge the glasshouse. At the back are round tail lamps in red and amber on each side, the slender full-width bumper and two pairs of tailpipes. The car stands on a grey suede base with its plaque at the front. BBR builds it in resin at 1:18.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0821/8519/1637/files/TAH-12498-01_68be9849-e408-426b-957e-289ed81eb3e2.jpg?v=1791397885
